The Beloit International Film Festival taps an award-winning independent filmmaker from Ontario, Canada as this year’s Artist in Residence.

Executive Director Greg Gerard says Gavin Michael Booth is a two-time BIFFY award winner.

Booth will host a workshop on “Zero Budget Movie Marketing at 10:30 a.m. on May 5th at BIFF headquarters at Irontek.

Gerard says Booth will host a second workshop intended to help producers and filmmakers think outside the traditional system when raising money for projects.

The Beloit International Film Festival kicks off it’s 10 day run on February 25th.
