On-line scams are getting more sophisticated according to a Janesville computer expert. The Computer Center President James Pearson says bad actors pretending to be from QuickBooks or other companies may try to offer you services. Pearson says the scammers goal is to gain access to your computer. He says just about any company could be misrepresented by this scam and suggests always independently verifying any company contact information before responding.
