The City of Janesville wipes the dust off of it’s snow plows.

Operations Director Maggie Darr says Tuesday marked the first plowable snow event this winter.

Darr says there were some complaints about slippery hills and intersections when the snow first started, but they are in good shape now.

Darr says the snow Tuesday snuck up on her, coming down heavier and earlier than originally forecast.

Darr says the City’s salt supply is still in good shape as she started the winter with full sheds, and this is the first time any of it is being used.
