Janesville Police are hoping citizens are patient this weekend.

Deputy Chief Todd Kleisner says calls for service about illegal fireworks make Independence Day the busiest day of the year for local officers.

Kleisner says anything that goes up or blow up is illegal to light off in the City of Janesville.

Kleisner cautions people buying illegal fireworks out of state that any permit they receive is not valid in the City of Janesville.
