Local first responders help with a challenging rescue among the tree tops in a heavily wooded area east of Whitewater.  The Janesville Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team assisted the Whitewater Fire Department early Saturday evening just west of County P near Whitewater Lake.  A small airplane was hung up by its emergency parachute about 75-feet off the ground.  Ropes were used to safely rescue three men inside.  The men had been traveling from Oshkosh to Burlington when an issue forced them to deploy the plane’s parachute.
