Local legislators react to the Governor’s State of the State address. Assembly Representative Mark Spreitzer applauds Tuesday night’s remarks. The Democrat says he’s pleased Governor Tony Evers focused on crucial issues such as the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, expanding access to rural broadband, fixing Wisconsin’s unemployment system, and ensuring fair legislative district maps in Wisconsin. Assembly Representative Amy Loudenbeck of Clinton is not so complimentary. Loudenbeck says the Governor didn’t acknowledge the significant failures on the part of his administration and instead blamed Republicans. The Republican says Evers is looking at more ways to use his executive power to grow government and increase spending.
