Janesville police are asking for the public to help identify a suspect in a Friday night armed robbery.

The white male subject is accused of brandishing a screwdriver and demanding money from an employee at the Walgreens on Center Avenue at around 9:40 p.m.

He fled on foot with cash, and a police K9 unit tracked him west to Conde Street, where officers believe he was picked up by an unknown vehicle parked in the area.

Police describe the suspect as medium build, wearing a baseball hat, black shirt, black shorts, black shoes and possibly with a beard.
