A 45-year-old Janesville man takes a plea deal in a child pornography case.
According to online court records, on July 11th Timothy Eastman plead guilty to five counts of possession of child pornography. Two additional child pornography charges were dismissed but read into the record.
Rock County Judge Karl Hanson sentenced Eastman to three years in prison and five years of extended supervision. Eastman must also register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Janesville police executed a search warrant for Eastman at a home on MacArthur Drive in Janesville in November of last year after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
During the search, police found evidence of the crime, as well as a gun under Eastman’s pillow.
