Tyrone Young, the 33 year old Beloit man accused of shooting a 29 year old woman to death in February, makes a preliminary hearing in court Monday afternoon.

Beloit Police Detective Elijah Truly says Young called 911 and identified himself, and in the call Young says he had been shot and he shot the victim and believed she was dead.

Truly says Young suffered a gunshot wound to his left shoulder area where the arm meets the shoulder, and he also had an exit defect close to the centerline of his back.

Court Commissioner Stephen Meyer determined there was probable cause that Young probably committed a felony and bound him over for trial.

Young will make his next court appearance on April 3rd for his arraignment.
