Those who help make elections run smoothly are being celebrated by the Janesville League of Women Voters at an upcoming event.

Board of Director Lisa Johnson says there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes including training and making sure new machines are running properly and the event will shed light on the work staffers do.

Johnson says the event will kick off with a Ask The Clerks panel, where members of the community can ask questions they might have about why their polling location changed or why their ward might have changed.

The event takes places Thursday, October 6th at 5pm in the Janesville City Hall Council Chambers.
