The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is making drivers aware of a road closure in Janesville Wednesday night.

Kennedy Road under the Interstate will be closed from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 Thursday morning.

Drivers must use alternate local routes. Emergency access will be provided to police, fire and EMS.

In addition to the road closure, southbound I-39/90 will be reduced to a single lane in this area from 8:00 Wednesday night until 5:00 Thursday morning.

Crews will be setting girders for the new I-39/90 southbound bridge over Kennedy Road.

The work operations and road closure are weather dependent and subject to change.
