A local business support organization plans to keep the holiday spirit bright despite the pandemic. Downtown Beloit Association Executive Director Shauna El-Amin says the 28th Annual Grand Holiday Lighted Parade will take place as usual the day after Thanksgiving. It will be a little different this year. El-Amin says it’ll be a reverse parade, where spectators drive-by all the floats and displays set up along Third Street the day after Thanksgiving. She calls the event’s tradition important to highlighting the holidays, but also supporting local commerce.
